MEET THE EXPERTS
ALAINA RAE MARINO
PT, DPT, cDN, CMPT, COMT2, OCS, FAAOMPT
Alaina Marino has been helping people get back in action without injections, medications, or surgery since 2005. She completed a 3-year Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and is almost through with her second doctorate – a DSc (Advanced Clinical Doctorate) – through Andrews University. She specializes in the treatment of chronic and complex patients, spine issues, pediatric pain and orthopedics, advanced options for Bell’s Palsy, headaches, night-time leg cramps, and post-motor-vehicle-accident care. She has completed four different certifications in Manual Therapy and also enjoys her role as an Adjunct Professor of Orthopedics at South College. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband Jason and daughter Amelia.


DANNY WINNINGHAM
PT, DPT, CMPT
Danny graduated from UT Chattanooga in 2005, and lives right here in Knoxville with his wife and two kids. Danny is LSVT BIG Certified for management of Parkinson’s related issues and also specializes in management of Knee and Heel Pain, throwing injuries, and arthritis. When he is not in the clinic or enjoying family time, you might find him playing softball or on a golf course. With tons of experience and orthopedic expertise, Danny is the premier choice in Knoxville for managing complex athletic injuries, knee issues, heel pain, and Parkinson’s!
Courtney Feike
PT, DPT, cDN, Residency in Orthopedics, Fellow-in-Training
Courtney graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from South College in 2017. She has since completed a residency in Orthopedics and is currently finishing up her Fellowship in Orthopedics and preparing to sit for a national exam to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Orthopedics for South College. She is the first choice in Knoxville for manging post surgical patients and is also skilled in Yoga, Athletic Rehab, and management of back and lower leg injuries.


Guillermo “Bill” Cutrone
PT, DSc, OCS, FAAOMPT, Cert MDT
Dr. Bill Cutrone has PT degrees from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (1994) and Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, Provo, UT (2006). He has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 2006 and completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy with Evidence in Motion (2010). He speaks English and Spanish and has presented his research locally, nationally, and internationally. His research is in the area of physical therapy treatment of spine pain. He received the John Medeiros Distinguished Author Award for the most impactful article published in JMMT (2010), and the Anthony D. Certo Award by the Indiana Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association for his professional achievements (2014). He currently serves as Director of Student Affairs with South College Tennessee. Knoxville, TN, and faculty member with Evidence in Motion for the various residency and fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy programs. In his free time, he loves exercising and outdoor activities including hiking, road biking, and boating. He currently lives in Loudon with his wife with whom he enjoys visits with their 3 grown-up kids who reside in Indiana.
SAMANTHA FUHRMANN
PTA, B.S. KINESIOLOGY
Sam has a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and a PTA degree from her time in North Dakota. She moved to Knoxville from Wisconsin with her husband Mitch in 2019 and they’ve since built a beautiful home in Louisville, TN. In her spare time she loves to travel, cheer on the Green Bay Packers, and spend time outdoors with her husband and dog Leo.


Nathaniel Shine
PTA, A.S., Personal Trainer
Nathaniel graduated from Roane State as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Pellissippi State with an Associates of Science degree, as well as experience in personal training. He is a Knoxville native who recently married his high school sweetheart. During his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, fitness, and spending quality time with his wife.
